A coalition of industry leaders including BlackRock, Fidelity Digital Assets, and Coinbase has formed the Bitcoin Security Consortium to address emerging threats to the network’s cryptographic foundation. Pledging $15 million over the next three years, the group aims to fund research into quantum-threat preparedness, emphasizing the development of post-quantum signatures and secure wallet migration tools.
